This 2.5 hour foray introduces participants to the diversity and ecological significance of fungi.
Rainforest environments are renowned for their diversity of habitat types, vegetation and microclimates and hence support a great variety of fungi.
Both the ecological and cultural aspects of the various fungi we encounter will be discussed. Participants will learn the basic diagnostic features used to identify fungi in the field and learn about their conservation importance.
