FORAY – Strathbogie Forest Foray

STRATHBOGIE FOREST FORAY

This in situ forest activity includes two sessions with soil biologist Walter Jehne and ecologist Alison Pouliot. We will explore the dynamic associations between fungi and plants and other forest organisms that contribute to forest function and carbon sequestration. The natural cooling mechanisms in forests and role of fungi in forest fire protection will be integrated into discussions.

Lunch is also provided.

The exact location will be emailed to you before the event.

This is a Strathbogie Ranges Conservation Management Network (SRCMN) event and is part of the Carbon Trading on the Web project.

Further workshops can be viewed at this link.

Alison’s books, The Allure of Fungi and Wild Mushrooming will be available for purchase.
